Issue

Evenflo Company, Inc. and its Canadian subsidiary Goodbaby Canada, Inc. (“Evenflo”) are informing the public of a non-compliance for Evenflo REO car seats made between February 2025 and June 2026. Specifically, Evenflo has concluded that, when tested in forward-facing mode in headrest positions 10 or 11, the headrest may experience a change in position contrary to the requirements.

Safety risk

If the headrest position shifts in a vehicle crash, there may be a heightened risk of injury.

Company actions

Evenflo is in the process of developing and validating a repair kit to address the non-compliance in the field. Evenflo will provide the kit to consumers who have registered their product or for which Evenflo otherwise has contact information. Consumers who have not previously registered may do so at Register your product.

In the interim, Evenflo recommends that consumers continue to utilize their car seats forward-facing in headrest positions other than 10 and 11 or rear-facing in positions other than headrest position 11. Caregivers with children tall enough to require use in position 10 or 11 (forward-facing) or 11 (rear-facing) may contact the Evenflo ParentLink Consumer Care team for assistance by calling 1-800-265-0749 or by e-mail parentlink@evenflo.com.

Consumer recourse

The affected car seats should not be returned to retailers. If you have not registered your car seat, consumers must register online or call Evenflo’s customer care team (see ‘consumer contact’ above) to register.
