Use & Care
DO NOT lubricate or immerse in water the LATCH/UAS connectors, the Buckle, or any other part of this Car Seat, unless rinsing is permitted, as stated on the back of the Buckle for your Car Seat. Plastic and metal parts may be wiped clean with mild soap and water and dried with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Take care not to damage any labels. The harness can be wiped clean with mild soap and water. Allow harness to air dry. Machine wash soft goods separately in cold water, delicate cycle, NO CHLORINE BLEACH. Tumble dry 10 - 15 minutes on low heat. Remove immediately. Remove the foam inserts from the headrest pad prior to washing. To protect the car seat from damage caused by weather, rodents, and other elements common to garages, the outdoors, and other storage locations, remove the seat pad and thoroughly clean the Car Seat and pad prior to storage. Take care to clean in the areas where crumbs and other debris tend to accumulate.

Are the harness covers required?

No. For your child's comfort this car seat does include harness covers, but they are removable - for easy cleaning or to discontinue use.

Can another child (sitting next to the car seat) reach over and rotate this car seat while I'm driving?

When the vehicle is in motion, the car seat should always be correctly locked in the rear-facing or forward-facing position. You can confirm this by checking the Seat Lock Indicator on either side of the car seat - it will be green when in the locked position. Only the caregiver should rotate the car seat by pushing the rotation button on either side of the car seat base. (Older children seated near the car seat should be instructed not to make any adjustments to the car seat).

Can I easily adjust from harness use to belt positioning booster use?

This car seat can be transitioned from harness to booster mode easily - simply follow the included User Guide or our booster installation video.

Can I install my car seat next to a side curtain air bag?

Generally, car seats and booster seats can be safely installed in rear-seating positions next to side curtain airbags. It is important to consult your vehicle owner's manual to ensure there are no restrictions on the seating position that you want to use for your car seat installation. In addition to your vehicle owner's manual, your car seat instructions will include detailed information about any airbag interaction concerns.

Can I install this car seat in the center seat of my vehicle?

Yes, this car seat can be used in any forward-facing vehicle seating position allowed in your vehicle's owner's manual, as long as a tight installation can be achieved. Therefore, the center seating position may be an option. However, in some vehicles the center seating position may be narrower which could make it more difficult to tightly install your car seat. In many vehicles, the center seating position may not allow installation with lower anchors. It is important to refer to both your vehicle owner's manual and your car seat user guide for full installation details.
